Some of the best savings accounts remaining open for UK residents are 1/A 1 year fixed rate bond paying 3.90% on minimum investment of £1,000 2/A 90 day notice account paying 3.50% on minimum investment of £100 3/An Instant Access account paying 3.25% on minimum investment of £100 I have also come across one savings account that has now dropped the interest rate it pays to 0% for investments of less than £500 so if you have not checked what your savings rates are lately it would be a good idea to check sooner rather than later to make sure you are maximising the returns on your savings and not in one of the accounts paying 0%. rates correct as of 23/02/2009 http://www.carpetbagging.co.uk/id1.html
